The Career Development Office's biggest event of the year—the fall Career and Internship Fair—was a huge success! The event, held in the Lackland Center on November 13, drew over 150 students who had the opportunity to connect with 38 local employers, according to Nancy Podesta, career coach and employment specialist and career fair coordinator.
"I am beyond happy with the both the participation of our students and the number of local employers who attended the event to meet our students," said Podesta.
Employers who offered both internship and job opportunities ranged from healthcare, assistance programs and education to law enforcement, insurance, and banking.
Centenary is always at the ready to provide career service assistance to its students as they prep for the next step. Students can get assistance with creating and fine-tuning their resumes through the Career Development Office located in the Academic Support Center. Centenary also sponsors a Career Closet where students can get interview-ready clothing free of charge.
