Welcome back to the Chronicle Critters, featuring the furry, the scaly, and the feathery! This edition includes a chip loving cockatiel, a cat that makes many expressions, and much more.

These first two feathery companions belong to Audrey Dejesus, a sophomore education mathematics major.

This feathery sweet pea is Turdy. Born on July 11 2015, Turdy is now 10 years old. She’s a Grey Cockatiel full of personality. She loves chips so much that if her owner doesn't share the crunchy goodness, she’ll slap her owner right in the back of the head.

This puffy little ball of feathers is Jasper. He’s a baby born October 31 2025, making him only four months old. This silly boy will sit under his owner’s foot- with no worries of getting squished- and wait for pets from their toes.

This next expressive kitty belongs to Brittany Wrigley, a senior history major.

This is Gracie the white, black, and brown kitty. She’s seven years old, and she was rescued from a shelter in Arkansas. Gracie likes to play fetch and likes her belly rubbed more than some dogs. Her favorite game to play is fetch with a ribbon toy; her owner will throw it and Gracie will bring it right back. Then, this little cat will yell until the toy is thrown again.

These final two furry house pets belong to sophomore computer science major Luna Bell.
Pearl, a tabby cat. (Photo taken by owner Luna Bell)
This ball of fur is tabby cat Pearl. Bell has had her for about seven years. She adopted her because her little sister really wanted a kitten and so they got Pearl. This sweet kitty ended up being more attached to Bell and her grandfather. This little diva loves to drink out of faucets rather than a bowl.
Carmella the pittie mix. (Photo taken by owner Luna Bell)
Carmella is about 7 years old and a pitbull mutt mix. She’s a big softy and loves meeting new people. Carmella loves popcorn and will beg for the buttery goodness any chance she gets. Originally, Carmella was Bell’s uncle’s but Bell ended up keeping Carmella after falling in love with her. Carmella is gentle and sassy; she loves giving hugs and barking at the landlord.
