Alexis d’Ambly (she/her) is a senior writing major with an English minor and will be graduating in May. She also serves as the editor-in-chief of Prism, the student literary magazine, editor and secretary of The Hack, the yearbook, and as a peer tutor in The Writing Collaboratory. She enjoys binge-reading novels, drafting her current novel-in-progress, vacationing in the Outer Banks, and researching new travel destinations via Google Maps. Her superpower is editing. Starting college, she had never even heard of comma splices. Now, even when she reads published works, she keeps an eye out for mechanical errors and can zero in on them with great accuracy.

Tanner Sullivan (he/him) is a senior majoring in communication with a minor in professional writing. He is the Student Programming Director at WNTI, the university’s radio station – where he hosts his own show called The Ticket Booth – and serves as a tutor in the Writing Collaboratory. He enjoys analyzing movies and spending time with his family, friends, and dog, McCoy. His superpower is the ability to watch as many films in theaters as possible in the blink of an eye. Samantha “Sami” Swayze (she/her) is a sophomore majoring in writing. This is her third semester on the newspaper, and she found a love for journalism through the Intro to Journalism course in 2024. Her interests include writing poetry and music, painting, reading, photography, and going to the beach. She also loves arts and crafts. She paints, creates homemade cards, and makes presents with canvases or cardstock for her loved ones.

Carlee Nigro (she/her) is a junior majoring in writing with a criminal justice minor. She founded the Tennis Club, is a First Year Leader, is a sister of Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority, Inc., and she is interning at DASACC. In her free time, Carlee enjoys reading, listening to music, shopping, and drinking an insane amount of coffee. One fun fact about Carlee is that her birthday is 456.

Carmella Vitel (She/Her) is a senior majoring in communication. This is her second semester with The Cyclone Chronicle, rising from a staff writer, to managing editor. Carmella enjoys video games, reading, and planning for that D&D campaign she swears she’ll start one day. When not in class, Carmella is at home with her two dogs, Luna and Pola. Nicholas Storms (He/Him) is a junior majoring in communication with a minor in creative writing and an active member of Student Activities. He serves as a sports journalist for the athletic department, covering all games, and is the founder of the clubs, Rolling Thunders bowling club, as well as the upcoming Hoops Of Culture basketball club.
Nick’s favorite hobbies are playing basketball, making music, journaling, and creating content. He is the host of Mind Over Matter, where he highlights perseverance, mindset, and the human side of athletic culture. You can check out all the episodes on Youtube. A fun fact about Nick is that he appeared in commercials at a young age.

Janet Zatta (she/her) is an adjunct professor of writing and teaches Composition & Rhetoric I, Freelance Writing and Editing, Intro to Journalism, and Newspaper Production Studio. She was presented with the Adjunct Teaching Award at Centenary’s 2023 Commencement ceremony. In addition to her passion for writing, she enjoys yoga, travel and bringing a candy basket to class.
