Samantha “Sami” Swayze (she/her) is a junior majoring in writing and this is her fourth semester on the newspaper. She found a love for journalism through the Intro to Journalism course in 2024. Her interests include writing poetry and music, painting, reading, and photography. She also loves arts and crafts. She paints, creates homemade cards, and makes presents with canvases or cardstock for her loved ones.

Elizabeth “Liz” May (she/her) is a junior majoring in writing. She’s an author who spends most of her free time writing and has now written five books—with a sixth on the way. She also runs The Chronicle Critters section of The Cyclone Chronicle. When she’s not writing, she’s spending time with her pets, reading, crafting, or playing video games.

Carlee Nigro (she/her) is a senior majoring in writing with a criminal justice minor. She founded the Tennis Club, is a sister of Delta Xi Nu (DXN) Multicultural Sorority, Inc., and she is working at our campus’ Starbucks. In her free time, Carlee enjoys reading, listening to music, shopping, and drinking an insane amount of coffee. One fun fact about Carlee is that her birthday is 4/5/06.

Jodi Lanka (she/her) is a junior communication major. At Centenary, she hopes to find work study, and she likes to hang out in the Seay building. Outside of school, she likes to watch plays, work out, and watch competitions on TV.  Fun fact shehe has a photographic memory. If you ask her about the plot of certain plays, she can likely tell you because she acted in her second half of high school.

Joseph Romano (he/him) is majoring in communication and graduating early at the end of this semester. He also serves as the music director at Centenary’s radio station, WNTI – The Sound of Centenary, and hosts the WNTI music variety show Your Next Favorite Song on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. Eastern. In his free time, Joseph is reading, writing, listening to music, or doing something fun somewhere.

Victoria Autocunas is a junior social work major. Her interests are writing, watching movies, and talking about music. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and doing her radio show on WNTI, Living for Music every Tuesday at 2 p.m. Not only does she have a show for WNTI, but also is the creative director. She is passionate about anything she does, whether it’s writing or playing a sport (which she is very bad at); she just likes having fun!!

Nicholas “Nick” Storms (he/him) is a senior majoring in communication with a minor in creative writing. He is a student-athlete on the Centenary men’s volleyball team, while also serving as a sports journalist for the Athletic Department and The Cyclone Chronicle. Nick’s experience spans sports, journalism, social media, marketing, multimedia storytelling, content creation, and brand partnerships. He has worked with Omnicom Production located in Manhattan and collaborated with brands through promotional campaigns, including SNIPES and Culture Kid Apparel. He is also the founder of Rolling Thunders Bowling Club and founder of Hoops of Culture Basketball Club.

Janet Zatta (she/her) is an adjunct professor of Writing and teaches Composition & Rhetoric I, Freelance Writing and Editing, Intro to Journalism, and Newspaper Production Studio. She was presented with the Adjunct Teaching Award at Centenary’s 2023 Commencement ceremony. In addition to her passion for writing, she enjoys yoga, travel, and bringing a candy basket to class. She is most fond of spending time with the family rescue Pitbulls; Harry, Lady, and especially sweet Eevee, recently adopted from 11th Hour Rescue.
