There is nothing better than giving back to the community, which is why our campus has kept flourishing. Saturday, Oct. 19 marked the second consecutive year Centenary took part in Cyclones Care About Community (C.C.A.C).
The first C.C.A.C. was held last year on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023, the day of President Caldwell’s inauguration, and is a day completely dedicated to Centenary students performing acts of kindness and community service, both on and off campus.
Students participated in many acts of service, such as painting a parish, stocking the Cyclone Kitchen, and delivering books to Warren County Correctional Facility in Belvidere, NJ, which was led by Cyclone Chronicles' very own Kayla Diee.
Kathleen Greco, dean of student success, has coordinated C.C.A.C. since the start, so any questions, comments, or concerns regarding C.C.A.C. must all be run through her.
Multiple Centenary students volunteered at two main locations for community service this year, our local Trinity Church Soup Kitchen and at Camp Bernie, a Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), in Port Murray, NJ. Students spent most of the day helping out and making sure to lend a hand to anyone else who may have needed it.
