Chronicle staff writer Victoria Autocunas' #1 artist on Spotify 2025 (Source: Spotify).
Every year, the very popular music app Spotify gives everyone a little present of their top music and artists of the year. It usually comes out in December, and this year it came out on December 3, 2025. I wanted to write an article on what I thought about mine since I am a seasoned music reviewer.
I will tell who is in each category and the music as well. As I stated previously, there will be categories that Spotify gives the listener, and whether I am surprised or not, based on my listening.
My Music Age
First, I will start with the listening age that the app gave me. I got 61, which isn’t a surprise. I am quite an old soul, but I am not sure what 61-year-old man or woman listens to Sabrina Carpenter, but I will get into that.
My Top and #1 Song(s)
So, for my top songs, they are all Sabrina Carpenter songs. Was I surprised? Yeah, no. They were all from her Short N’ Sweet album as well, and a fun fact, April was when I listened to it the most based on my stats. I listened to my number one song, “Juno,” 927 times this year. You can’t tell me I’m not dedicated! These are my top 5:
Top 5 Albums
Third, I will be going over my top five albums for this year, and my number one album is, you guessed it, Short N’ Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter. Both the original and deluxe versions were on the list. I absolutely adore this album so much, and she really makes each song her own on this one. I forgot about Chappell Roan, so I was surprised to see her on this list. Here are my top five albums of the year:
Short N’ Sweet- Sabrina Carpenter
Eyes Wide Open- Sabrina Carpenter
The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess- Chappell Roan
Short N’ Sweet (deluxe)- Sabrina Carpenter
My top 5 Artists
Finally, I will be going over my top artists of the year. I don’t even have to tell you who my number one was. But I will anyway. Sabrina Carpenter! Yeah, no surprise there at all. I spent 14,764 minutes listening to her. What is super cool about the music app is that it gives you a message from your top artist, where they thank you for all the support and listening to their music. I love Sabrina, so she gets all that support from me. What I liked is that even though the message is for everyone, it feels personal, and with Sabrina really being close to her fans, it made me feel super special. Here are my artists:
Sabrina Carpenter
Kesha (YAY!)
The KID LAROI
End!
In all, I was not surprised at all about my music this year, and this excites me every year to wake up to Spotify Wrapped, so I hope they keep doing this forever!
