Get ready to go over the rainbow, Cyclones! The Centenary Stage Company will present the iconic The Wizard Of Oz this holiday season. I played Glinda my sophomore year in my high school production of the play, so I’m happy this is being performed my sophomore year of college.
This is in fact a very big week for the land of Oz! Not only is Wicked: For Good hitting theaters across the country, but also Centenary is doing their own live adaptation of the classic Wizard of Oz story. Click here to check out the Cyclone Chronicle’s Tanner Sullivan’s article on Wicked!
The original novel for the iconic 1939 movie was written in 1900 by L. Frank Baum. This story has been around for 125 years!
The show’s leads include senior Katie O’Shea and equity actress Elaina Ragusa sharing the role of Dorothy, Professor Lea Antonili-Lid as Ms. Gultch/ the Wicked Witch, Professor Stephen Davis as Professor Marvel/the Wizard, Erin Clark and equity actress Ally Borgstrom sharing the role of Glinda, and Mark Edelstein, Michael Willis, and James Russo as Hunk/Scarecrow, Hickory/Tin Man, and Zeke/Lion respectively.
The show will run from November 28 through December 14.
