“Time with Family Tradition”

My family has the same traditions for Christmas every year that I enjoy. We celebrate Christmas at our house with most of my family. There are a few things we usually do every year, and it makes the holiday very enjoyable. I always look forward to spending time with my family, especially on a big holiday like Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, we always watch the movie, Elf. My mom was the one who started this tradition and we watch it when we get back from my aunt’s house. It’s always fun to watch as it’s a pretty funny movie. This is a continued tradition and even though we don’t always want to sit around and watch, we do because it makes my mom happy.

Christmas morning is always the best part because that’s when presents are opened. We still wake up early–around 8 or 9 a.m. It's always a good time sitting around the tree and seeing what we got. It's always nice to see my family happy and enjoying the day. It’s also really nice to see family that I don’t always get to see. These traditions are something to look forward to every year.

Another thing we always love to do is sit at the table for dinner and have the NFL football games on at the same time. There are usually several Christmas football games, and this is fun to watch as the games are always exciting…

These traditions are not just about presents. They are about being together as a family and just having a good time. Even though we pretty much do the same thing every year, it’s always exciting.

Yes, my family Christmas traditions are very important to me. Watching Elf on Christmas Eve and opening presents on Christmas morning are things I look forward to. They always make the holiday fun and give me good memories. 

I also like how close these traditions make me feel to my family and the people around me. Even though life is very busy and I don’t always get to see most of my family I know we will always come together at this time of year and enjoy each other’s company. 

I hope these traditions continue for many more years to come because they always make Christmas and Christmas Eve special; they give me memories that I will forever have.
