Out of Season

It's always a bit odd, going from being home to being at school. Always requires recalibration. Recalibrating sleeping habits, recalibrating schedules, reintroducing yourself to friends you haven't seen since summer began. It can get hectic. One thing that holds true though, is that there are always things that remain the same. There is always a big theater meeting during the first week, where the new students introduce themselves, and the theater schedule is talked about. There is always the first day of classes, just going over the syllabus and introducing yourself. There is a slight routine you start to notice as time goes on, even with how chaotic starting a new school year inherently is. There is something comforting in that, and at this point I have grown somewhat used to it. Not entirely, of course, everyone must readjust, though the amount of adjustment can vary from person to person. In my personal experience, once the initial hump of the new year starting is passed, things are relatively calm until the shows start getting worked on, and then it can get messy. But who knows what will happen between now and then, might as well have some fun!
