Summer and Fall

Each year my college semesters start right as summer is ending. The first few weeks are full of nice and sunny weather, and it transitions into cooler weather. Warm summer weather can be nice, but during the hottest months it gets unbearable. With having to wear more revealing clothes, and dealing with extreme discomfort, I look forward to early fall’s cooler months. As someone with a very unique fashion style, it was hard to wear what I wanted to without overheating; since I would prefer not to just wear a t-shirt and shorts without anything else. With the cooler months of fall rolling in, so does sweater weather. Being able to wear cozy and comfortable clothing makes me feel more confident in myself.

During the summer, I took many trips to different thrift stores, including the Salvation Army, that's just a few minutes away from Centenary. Most of the clothing I thrifted is for cooler months and consists of sweaters, long sleeve shirts, vests, and dress shoes. The color pallets of the clothing that were thrifted are closely aligned to the colors of fall; which include brown, green, grey and yellow. Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons, because the weather is very nice and tolerable. Winter and Summer months are very hard for my body to deal with since I get overheated, and cold quite easily. During this year’s heatwave last month, I was suffering a lot, even with the use of a fan. Overall, the fun summer activities will definitely be missed, but not the extreme heat.
