First Place Tattoos: End of Summer Piercing Special

Sitting on Main Street is Hackettstown's hidden gem, First Place Tattoos. As featured in The Cyclone Chronicle before, First Place is a reliable and trustworthy studio that offers both piercings and tattoos. First Place frequently holds flash tattoo sales and piercing sales most recently was their End of Summer Piercing Special on August 30.

For this sale they did a buy one, get one (BOGO) for most piercings, you just have to pay the cost of jewelry. All their piercings during this event were performed by resident piercers Justin Booth and Victoria Coloccia, and guest piercer Dano. 

There were a few guidelines to their BOGO that are common for most of their piercing sales. Walk-ins are always welcome (be wary that the lines at First Place often go out the door), but the only guaranteed way to get pierced is to make an appointment. You must have a government-issued ID on you. Both piercings do not need to be on the same person. Additionally, during these events you cannot choose your piercer and will be seen by whoever is available first. 

There are also a few restrictions on which piercing you could get. Bridge, Nipples, Belly Button, Septum or Paired Piercings (Snakebites, Angel Fangs, etc.) are amongst the not available. 

The Cyclone Chronicle’s Co-Executive Managing Editor, Elizabeth May attended this event. She got pierced by guest piercer Dano, alongside attendees Olivia Pannullo and Joseph P.. 

“As always the service from First Place is phenomenal and Dano was incredibly patient with me,” said Joseph P. who received four cartilage piercings (two helixes, a conch, and a rook). “At one point, I asked to take a quick break and not once did I feel rushed. Dano let me take my time and prepare for the second half of my piercings.”

Both May and Pannullo had great things to say about Dano and the event as well. 

“This is my second time coming to one of First Place’s piercing sales and it was fantastic,” said Pannullo. “Everything is organized well and despite the giant crowd waiting for their turns, not once do you feel rushed to hurry up, get stabbed and get out.”

“First Place never disappoints. Their staff, whether guests or residents, are always so kind and great at their trade,” said May.
