Why did you join DXN?
Karolina Morales- President of DXN
She joined DXN because she wanted to grow as a person and develop skills essential to working with all different people.
Amanda Lorenzo- Head Membership Educator
She joined DXN in her freshman year because she looked up to one of the girls who was in DXN. She saw how successful and involved she was and wanted to be just like her. When she talked about DXN she was a little unsure of joining at first, but came to love the organization and she could not feel more at home.
Taylor Lavin- Sophomore, Elementary Education
She joined DXN because she wanted to join a diverse community. She also joined DXN because she wanted to come out of her shell a little more. She wanted a big sister and little sister relationship. She wanted to do community service to help others and gain more confidence and resilience.
Katelyn Shaw- Co-Membership Educator
She joined DXN for the friendships and connections that she could make from being in the sorority. She also wanted to have a big sister and little sister relationship. DXN has helped her grow with the community service hours they provide, because it allows her to help others which she enjoys doing. DXN has made her more confident and more outgoing with others and allows her to communicate better.
Why is DXN important to you?
Karolina Morales
DXN is important to her because it gives a sense of belonging. Joining this organization has given her family life and experiences she would have never gained had she not joined.
Amanda Lorenzo
DXN is important to her, because, after she graduates, she wants to make a lasting impact on campus. She wants her organization to succeed and she is excited to see what more it could become. Being a Xi Honey in this sweetest sorority is something that she is proud of and one of her biggest accomplishments.
Taylor Lavin
DXN is important to her, because it was one of her biggest accomplishments in her college experience. She wanted to be a friendly face to have around campus and wanted to make lifelong friendships.
Katelyn Shaw
DXN is important to her, because it allows her to have everlasting friendships. It also helps her to focus on helping others and engage in more community and campus events, which gives her more confidence to be around people.
What are the benefits of being in DXN?
Karolina Morales
The benefits of being in DXN are that you gain people who will support you for life and gain skills that you will not get anywhere else. These include professional skills, leadership skills, communication skills, and even more. Being a sister of DXN is an incredible gift.

The benefits of being in any sorority are the connections you make and the sisterhood that comes through them. Lorenzo has found the most beautiful group of girls inside and out. She wouldn't be where she is today if she hadn’t experienced the growth she went through during the process.
For anyone interested, Lorenzo recommends looking into the organizations on campus and seeing which one resonates with you the most, because you never know what good may come of it.
Taylor Lavin
DXN has a good sense of sisterhood. It creates a safe and secure environment that allows her to have a voice without being judged by anyone. She gets to talk to girls who have similar interests. DXN allows her to be her true self.
Katelyn Shaw
The benefit of being in DXN is that her sisters have her back whenever assistance is needed. It also allowed her to use her voice more and gave her support when it was needed the most.

Each Greek organization adopts a philanthropy and has a motto and a mission statement. At DXN, our philanthropy is Helping Hands.
Our mission statement is, “Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority, Inc., is committed to furthering multiculturalism by promoting diversity and cultural awareness in our local communities and throughout the world.”
The motto of DXN is sisterhood, culture, and education. Sisterhood means that, as sisters, you are never alone. Being in this sorority means you will have these sisters and friendships that we have made for life. Even after you graduate, everyone will be there for you and support you when you need it the most.
As a sorority, we celebrate everyone’s culture through multicultural events and fundraisers. For example, in the Spring semester, we usually hold an empanada fundraiser.
For education, we hold study hours as sisters to make sure that everyone stays on top of their work and their assignments. Also, as sisters, we always try to make sure that everyone is not too stressed with schoolwork and is taking it one day at a time.
Greek Week turned out to be a wonderful success. We had a week full of events that everyone enjoyed and we can’t wait to do this again next year!
