I know it’s the end of the school year and you might be a graduating senior, a resident from far away, or both, but the end of the school year means summer is on the horizon. This means people want to get into shape, and I have just the place for you.
Crunch Fitness, located at 2045 NJ-57, Hackettstown, is just a 6-minute drive from campus and it’s open from 5 a.m.- 11 p.m. during the week, and 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. on weekends.
I spoke with one of its employees to learn more about it.
“It’s a good deal for students. You can get a good price. There are three different tiers of memberships. There’s base, peak, and peak results,” said Richie Abucewicz, an employee at Crunch Fitness.
These three tiers of membership determine which amenities you can use.
With a base membership, you can use its training hub located by the women’s locker room, the saunas in the locker rooms, the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) zone if there aren’t any classes, any equipment there including stairmasters, bikes, treadmills, and rowing machines, and the group fitness and spin rooms if there aren’t any classes happening while you work out.
With a peak membership, you have the perks of a base membership along with access to any class except for HIIT and ride classes.
These classes include:
Absolution (focuses on core strengthening)
Barbell 30/45
Belly, Butt & Thighs Bootcamp
Bodyweb w/ TRX
Cardio Sculpt
Cardio Tai Box Loaded
Chisel
Hatha Flow (yoga class)
P3 Pilates
Ripped Pilates
The Push Point
Top It Off
Top To Bottom Burnout
Yoga Body Sculpt
Zumba
With a peak results membership, you can enjoy everything the gym has to offer including a basketball court, tanning machines, and hydromassage beds.
A membership will also allow you to get a massage from High Point Health & Wellness and your own t-shirt.
You’ll have to check the website for special discounts, but it’s not a bad deal. A base membership costs $16.99/month with a $75 enrollment fee and a $59.99 annual fee. A peak membership costs $26.99/mo with the same fees. A peak results membership costs $34.99/mo with no enrollment fee with the same $59.99 annual fee. If you want to get a snack or a beverage there, you must pay with a credit card because they don’t take cash.
Crunch Fitness is convenient for Centenary students.
“I go to Crunch a lot and I really like it, because for the price, I feel like they have a lot to offer. There’s so much equipment and exercise classes that we just don’t have at the school gym or Planet Fitness. It’s also pretty close to Centenary, which is great,” said sophomore Jillian Ullanowski.
If you want an awesome workout, check out Crunch Fitness today. It really helps you achieve your goals and makes you feel like a winner.
