In the spirit of Women’s History Month last month, Centenary University has made the landmark decision to revert back to being an all-girls college, beginning in August, 2024.
An anonymous member of the board of trustees said, “Welcoming male students initially began as an experiment for the psychology department, and somehow they never left. After serious consideration, it was determined that this would greatly benefit the university.”
The office of Residence Life held a small celebration on the day of the announcement, citing that the dorms would now be “far cleaner and better decorated.”
Senior Eve Foote said, “Took them long enough. Let’s make it Barbie Land!”
In line with this decision, the university arranged for all male students will be given guaranteed admission to Hampden-Sydney College, a historically all-male institution.
