The Student Government Association (SGA) hosted their annual fall Involvement Fair on the Quad on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., giving students an opportunity to check out the many clubs and organizations Centenary has to offer.
Students were eager to share their thoughts on the event.
“Good energy, great weather, great opportunities for students to get out of their dorms and participate in different organizations,” said the Cyclone Chronicle’s own Nick Storms, president of the Bowling Club, the Rolling Thunders.
“Our Involvement Fair is meant for all of our clubs and organizations to represent and recruit more student involvement for a better campus life,” said senior Sofia Mendez, vice president of SGA.
“We’re always looking for a few more club members and volunteers,” said J, a sophomore and new staff member of The Cyclone Chronicle, our student newspaper.
“WNTI student radio, a regular participant in the fair, believes it’s important for students to vocalize their beliefs and passions for all to hear,” said junior Evan Flick, a member of WNTI.
“Being part of Delta Xi Nu, I have found my place and a sisterhood that I belong to. Being part of DXN was the best decision I have ever made,” said Amanda Lorenzo, junior and sister of Delta Xi Nu, one of several Greek organizations represented at the fair.
“IHSA helps grow leadership and team building skills,” said Fianna Roberts-Squire, junior and member of Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), which also had an info table.
“The Involvement Fair is a pivotal event at Centenary. It led me to The Cyclone Chronicle for the past year,” said sophomore Jodi Lanka.
