Welcome Back and Happy New Year, Cyclones! We hope your winter break was fun as we kick off the Spring semester.
Student Activities hosted a Bingo Night on Monday, Jan. 13, at 8 p.m. in the Lackland Center cafeteria, welcoming back new and returning Cyclones. The total number of students who attended was 69, and students had a chance to win prizes, such as $50-$100 gift cards for Marshalls, Amazon, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and more!
There were many rounds with different ways to get bingo, (vertical, horizontal, corners, stamps, “C”, full board, etc) and with each round, the intensity among the students started to rise.
Students were asked what they thought about the event:
“It was a great way to start the semester off; looking forward to seeing more students at future events,” said junior Kayla Sampong, staff member of Student Activities.
“It was great. I’m looking forward to the next event and great prizes for the next one,” said junior Jasmine Sampong, staff member of Student Activities.
“Bingo is always a fun time, and I always look forward to it every month,” said an anonymous student who won a Marshalls gift card.
Bingo events are scheduled once every month on Mondays, so be on the lookout. There were also some events that happened that week and throughout the semester, so look at Jamie Weingarten’s “Stay in the Know” emails.
Welcome back, Cyclones!
