Student Activities and Sodexo hosted Halloween Bingo from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria, where students could dress up in their costumes and play a fun game of Bingo with their friends on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
There were 10 prizes available to the 60 students who attended, including eight $30 gift cards from Domino's, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Wendy's, Chipotle, Dunkin', McDonald's, and Applebee's, as well as two $50 gift cards for Uber/Uber Eats and DoorDash.
Some of the winners include Jasmine Sampong, MacKenzie Almestica, Brayden Danchak, Laurie Hyppolite, Grace Grey, Kezia Feaster, and Namir Steril.
These prizes are very popular. Everyone wants to come out and win, which makes this event even more popular.
“Bingo has always been one of the most competitive events because of the prizes that we give out to the winners,” said Nick Storms, junior communication major, staff writer for the Cyclone Chronicle, and Student Activities employee.
Even though this event has been very competitive, all students have had a great time and have gone to almost every event.
“I thought it was a fun time,” said Leo Galante, sophomore fashion design major. “ I just wish they did it more often.”
“When you go to college, people want to socialize and have a great time,” said Storms. “Many students on campus mainly participate in sports events; however, there are also people who don't, so we, Student Activities, wanted to create something for those students.”
“The significance of the event is to socialize, have fun, and talk to one another, instead of being in your dorms all day,” said Storms.
As a whole, this Halloween-themed Bingo event was a huge success, and it showed once again how popular and significant this small event is to people on campus.
