The spring semester kicked off with a Wii Bowling tournament hosted by Student Activities. The winner received a $25 Amazon gift card. The tournament was held in the Cyberspace of the Student Activities Center (the SAC) on Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. Students competed against each other using the Wii or Nintendo Switch.
The event was hosted by Kenneth Pinedo, the program coordinator of Student Activities.
“We had a really good turnout,” Pinedo said. “As the night went on, more and more people came.”
In total, 27 students attended, and sophomore Gabriel Lentzner took home the prize.
“I enjoyed it even though it was a challenge to play for the first time on the Switch,” Lentzner said. “I felt surprised to win because I never used Switch controllers before. (But,) I’m very good at bowling.”
