The iconic Cyclone Chronicle mascot is about to go on an adventure beyond the student newspaper! Zeena, the loveable pink fluffball, is officially taking center stage in a new major motion picture from animation studio DreamWorks.
“We’re very excited for this project,” said an anonymous DreamWorks spokesperson. “We fell in love with Zeena’s shenanigans with the Chronicle and decided she needed her own movie.”
Early reports suggest that the film will focus on Zeena as she travels across the Atlantic Ocean in search of a pirate ship full of treasure. Along the way, she will meet a crew of additional furry Fuzz-A-Mallows friends who join her on her journey, all while escaping the clutches of a massive storm hot on their trail.
It is currently unknown who will direct the feature, nor is it known who will write the script. However, the studio is currently considering voice actors for the numerous characters the film will feature. Names like Tom Holland, Zendaya, Pedro Pascal, Robert Pattinson, and Anne Hathaway are currently being considered for supporting roles. As for Zeena herself, the studio has reportedly thrown around names like Scarlett Johansson, Awkwafina, and Emma Stone.
The film is slated to enter production at some point in 2027, with an intended release date of Christmas 2030.
