In a nail biting conference showdown at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center on February 12, 2025, the Centenary Cyclones men’s basketball team secured a dramatic victory against Neumann University, evening their season series to 1-1. The game ended 86-82.
The game was marked by standout performances, particularly from Darnell Forrest, sophomore, who tallied an impressive 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Forrest, a former Neumann University player, showcased his skills against his old team, proving to be a pivotal player for the Cyclones this season.
The highlight of the night came from Naire Preston, sophomore, who delivered a clutch game-winning euro step buzzer beater, propelling the Cyclones to a 4-6 conference record. The excitement in the arena was contagious and roaring as Preston laid up the ball, sealing the victory.
The game was flooded with positive spectators, screaming and encouraging the Cyclones, creating an electrifying atmosphere that fueled the team's performance. Contributions from Justin Carbon and Kenneth Rankin were also instrumental in the Cyclones’s win, demonstrating the team's depth, resilience, and ability to work as a team.
