From the first whistle of the season, it was clear that the Cyclones women’s soccer team meant business.
The team displayed their hard work and dedication throughout the campaign. “Our success this season came from our relentless attitudes,” said captain Eve Haddad.
Their best game came on Wednesday, Sept. 20 against Penn State – Schuylkill. The ladies dominated the match and posted a season-best 7 goals. Sophomore Liliana Flores scored an impressive 4 goals, tied for second most goals during a single game in program history.
At many points, the Lady Cyclones showcased a remarkable ability to bounce back from setbacks. They were tested in countless tight matches, and when the team found themselves trailing, they refused to bow down.
“This season has really tested our character. We never gave up, and that's what makes us,” Haddad said.
As their season came to a close, the team already has their sights set on next season. They plan to build on the successes and experiences of this season, with hopes of reaching even greater heights next year.
With the same spirit and dedication, the Cyclones women’s soccer team has all the potential to achieve new milestones.
